African catfish

Claresse is farmed in the Netherlands and is a cross between two species: Heterobranchus longifilis x Clarias gariepinus. With this cross we brought some good features of both together. By crossing with a wild variety we get a fish with better white meat quality with a mild flavor and firm texture. Some benefits of the Claresse are that it can be delivered fresh all over Europe.
